Class C Motorhome
Sometimes referred to as a mini-motorhome, these kind of coaches are quite well designed for families. They are basically two bedroom apartments on wheels with one bedroom in the rear, and the other in the front, over the van cab. Class C Motorhome are the safest because of their designers, and they do offer a very natural, car-like driving position. The biggest complaint about class C models is that the two front seats are on a different floor level than the rest of the unit and they can't swivel around. This becomes problematic when the vehicle is parked, but if you've planned to have a motorhome for occasional travels, like go camping, fishing, short road tripping, class C motorhome are the best because their low prices.

Characteristics:

Class C Motorhome can come in very luxurious models, or more economical models affording more flexibility of pocketbook.
They are lighter in weight, ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 pounds (4,536 - 6,804 kg) and generally run from just under 20 - 44 feet (6 - 13 m.) in length.
Class C Motorhome are generally constructed on cutaway chassis depending on the model. The cab is similar to a truck, with a bunk above, plus a rear bedroom.
They have all the conveniences of home including kitchen, bathroom, dinette, heating, A/C, and possibly entertainment features.
Because of the overcab bed, Class C Motorhome can sleep more than a comparable class A motorhome, up to 10 people, depending.
Also they have the nose and front doors of a van expanding into a huge fiberglass body that sticks out over what used to be the top of the van.
Generally, the cab, seats, seat belts, and air bags were all made by Ford or GM.
Useful as a tow vehicle: many people prefer to tow a boat or trailer to carry snowmobiles, ATVs or canoes, but it is also possible to tow a small family car.
Slideout option offers extra room for living or sleeping areas, by moving the RV's exterior wall outward at the push of a button. This will add up to an additional 1 meter (3½ ft) to the width of the vehicle.
Fully winterized versions for winter Class C Motorhome include a high BTU furnace, heated tanks, upgraded insulation and double-glazed windows.
